A large digital company operating in the delivery sector in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region was looking for an experienced CTO. The business was founded by local founders, but the board team is formed, among other things, from high-level top executives from Russia, respectively, the relocation of the CTO was a prerequisite.

Business objective

The client was looking for a CTO who would actually become the right hand of the CEO and be able to work locally in MENA, getting involved in all strategic tasks. He had to lead a large development and product team.

Challenges

The following expertise of the future CTO was important to our client:


  • huge experience in the industry (namely, delivery services, taxi services, marketplaces with their own delivery);

deep hard skills;

  • ability to simultaneously manage both large development teams and the product;
  • knowledge of the specifics of working in the MENA region.
